Cernunnos

My original fibre art / textile art piece Cernunnos. This piece is a follow up to my Laid Fibre painting Aspect of Flidais. Cernunnos is a Celtic God who is often portrayed as a stag. He represents fertility and life and, like Flidais, is a protector of animals and the forest. He reflects the cycles of the seasons and, as such, the cycle of life, death and rebirth.
When I created the picture of Flidais I spoke about finding balance. Creating Cernunnos has allowed me to find that balance and celebrate the masculine aspect of the stag so balancing the masculine and feminine sides that we all have within ourselves.

The piece is created using wet felting and needle felting. The background is wet felted and the Stag is needle felted.

All my original artworks are complete one-offs, I never make the same artwork twice so you can be sure that if you are buying a piece as a gift for a loved one, a friend or treating yourself to some new art that you will be purchasing a completely one of a kind artwork.

The artwork comes in a grey frame without glass measuring 20” x 16” and is ready to hang.

Due to the nature of this item please do not attempt to change the frame.
