Like Me

This is the story of a girl, some might call her a party girl. She liked to go out and have fun. She liked to take selfies and post on social media, she loved her filters and the oh so candid shots of her in all the best places. She had followers from all over the world and the reactions and interactions made her feel validated and gave her a sense of worth. Unfortunately the world of social media has a short attention span and is not kind and those reactions lessened and the interactions became negative, her self esteem suffered and she felt worthless and isolated. The comments hurt her and damaged her self image leaving her broken and alone while the social media world moved on to the next girl who just wanted to be liked.
