Wisdom Card

A high quality 5 x 7 greetings card featuring my original and unique handmade laid fibre artwork Wisdom. I wanted to somehow convey the message of positive body/mental image in peri/post menopausal woman.

It is a time in a woman’s life where many customs and cultures believe a woman is at her most powerful. She is no longer boxed in by the expectations of society about her stage of life or the limitations and stigma of the menstrual cycle. She has learned and experienced many things and has gained the wisdom that comes with age. In many cultures a woman at this stage of her life is revered and becomes aware of the mysteries of the universe. My piece celebrates this stage of a woman’s life and I hope it shows the beauty and wisdom that comes with this progression on the cycle of life.
