Shattered

My original felt & fibre painting Shattered. It represents the mental and physical effects of the pandemic on medical and care staff. It shows the physical exhaustion and the conflict of their many roles as medic, parent, child and partner. I also wanted to represent the kaleidoscope of emotions and the fractured mental health of so many of the care professionals in the wake of the pandemic.

The piece is created by needle felting the foreground onto a hand dyed fabric background.
