Aspects of Fildais Card
A high quality 5 x 7 greetings card featuring my original and unique handmade laid fibre artwork Aspects of Flidais. It depicts a Deer in a snowy landscape.
Flidais is a Celtic Goddess who represents both the domestic and wild nature of women. She appears in ancient myth as an Earth Mother. Modern Celtic Pagans consider her to be the Lady of the Forest and protector of trees and animals. Deer and cattle are her sacred animals and, as a shape-shifter, she was able to transform herself into a Deer. She represents the cycle of growth and rebirth and reminds us of the need to embrace all aspects of our roles as women. To embrace the domestic and nurturing sides of our feminine being and also to celebrate sensuality and achieve empowerment over our own sexuality. This allows us to find balance within our lives and leads us to delve deeper into our creativity.
